It starts off with a warm smile and handshake once you’ve crossed through the doors and if your lucky a cuppa tea and biscuits-lol.
The endless efforts to help and inform all walks of life is a never ending legacy with the people at multicultural centre. Cheers to them all.
Since Kate’s arrival from overseas she has blossomed under the influence and care of Multicultural Centre.
English studies, outings & day trips, lifes’ issues, job searching and meeting new wonderful people.
All of these life challenges and issues leads to progression- Kate and I are in no doubt in awe of Jessie and the people of Multicultural Centre and thank them very dearly again.
Cheers

As a volunteer with Multicultural Whangarei, it gave me an opportunity to be a part of an International community where new immigrants were choosing to settle in Whangarei. Understanding difficulties of learning a new or different culture or language adds to a portfolio of opportunities in supporting migrants to settle in our small township.
The Multicultural Whangarei Centre extensively offers support with this with many activities, learning opportunities, work-shops, shared lunches for everybody. Being active as a volunteer, opened doors to finding employment, and this can quite difficult in such a small town. To Jessie and her team who are a credit to the city of Whangarei and the Community they support. I wish them all the best.
After arriving in New Zealand, I visited Multicultural Whangarei to seek their support in finding work in my area of interest. I met Suman and Jessie Manney who were very supportive and approachable. They helped me share my skills with people here by providing a platform and helped me in networking with people of my industry. With Jessie’s reference, I was able to portray my skill set in the industry which has finally culminated into a job in my area of interest.
I am extremely thankful to the entire team of Multicultural Whangarei who supported me. I personally feel it is a great platform for every new comer to find any kind of support.
